CSC OFFSHORE is planning to procure a new DP support vessel with low operating costs and equally low emissions of nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxides. The catamaran, designed according to the most modern criteria, is planned for use in offshore wind power and in all conceivable operations such as a divers’ base, cable repair vessel and for use in narrow and shallow waters.

Typical offshore support vessels in the North Sea are often big, heavy and consume a lot of fuel. But is that necessary for the deployment of small teams of technicians? The new catamaran is designed to do just that, to serve often quite small tasks with reasonable economy.

Dynamic-Dynamic-Positioning (DP) is the big thing. The new vessel is to have a quadruple redundant propulsion system to provide maximum safety in DP operations.

We’ll be back soon with more details and pictures …
